Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro Edition is a memorial to the Samsung E700

As a new variation of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, Samsung has launched the Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro Edition. The SGH-E700 (Samsung E700), debuted in 2003 as Samsung's first smartphone with a built-in antenna, inspired the distinctive clamshell folding phone. The blue color panel and matte finish frame of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro. The limited edition smartphone comes with a variety of accessories, including Flipsuit cards and Flipsuit cases, among others. Aside from the accessories, the new Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro Edition is likely to feature the same characteristics as the standard Galaxy Z Flip 5, which was released internationally in July of this year.

On November 1, limited supplies of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro will be available in Australia, Korea, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Spain only through Samsung's official website, Samsung.com. It will be available in France beginning November 2. The limited edition handset's price has yet to be disclosed.

As previously stated, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro is inspired by the SGH-E700, which was introduced in 2003 as Samsung's first flip phone with a built-in antenna. The Retro version sports an indigo blue and silver color scheme, a distinct UX design that reinterprets 2000s pixel graphics, and animation on the Flex Window. It includes three Flipsuit cards with logos from various eras of Samsung's history, a Flipsuit case, and a collector card with a unique serial number.

The standard Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 was released in India in July for Rs. 99,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage option. The 8GB RAM + 512GB storage model costs Rs. 1,09,999. It was first available in Cream, Graphite, Lavender, and Mint.

 

Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 5 boasts Armor Aluminum frames and runs Android 13 with One UI 5.1.1 on top. It has a 6.7-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex inner display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It features a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED folder-shaped cover display with a 60Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by a proprietary Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy SoC with 8GB of RAM.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 has a dual rear camera set with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide main sensor and a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera with OIS capability. A 10-megapixel selfie camera handles selfies and video calls. It is water resistant to IPX8 standards. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 comes with a 3,700mAh battery that supports 25W rapid charging.
