The Oppo A79 5G, the latest product in the A-series portfolio, was released in India on Friday. The new 5G phone is available in two colors and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The Oppo A79 5G has a 6.72-inch full-HD+ display with a hole punch cutout in the center. It has a 50-megapixel dual camera configuration and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W SuperVOOC rapid charging capabilities. According to the manufacturer, the battery may provide up to 26 hours of conversation time on a single charge. The Oppo A79 5G replaced the Oppo A78 5G. It will fight on the market with the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G, Vivo T2 5G, and Samsung Galaxy M34 5G.

In India, the new Oppo A79 5G costs Rs. 19,999 for the single 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. It is available in two color options: Glowing Green and Mystery Black, and it is presently available for pre-order through Oppo's e-store, Amazon, Flipkart, and other major retail retailers. The handset will go on sale on October 28.
