What to Expect at Apple's 'Scary Fast' Event

The Apple logo on the upcoming Apple event invite changes to the Mac logo, giving us a good sense of what the key items will be on Tuesday. Apple is likely to announce the first Mac laptops using M3 chips, the company's first processors for its computers constructed on a 3nm technology, similar to Apple's new A17 Pro CPU for the iPhone 15 Pro models. The new M3 CPU will be the most noticeable enhancement on Apple's latest Mac models.

Apple is expected to reveal a new iMac at its forthcoming launch event, the first upgrade from the company's 2021 model, which was equipped with an M1 CPU. As a result, the upcoming model is predicted to deliver a significant improvement in performance over its predecessor. According to sources, the design of the forthcoming iMac model will not alter significantly.

Apple is also likely to release updated editions of its 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro laptops. Both laptops are believed to have Apple's more powerful M3 Pro (12 core CPU, 18 core GPU) and M3 Max (16 core CPU, 32 core GPU) processors, which should provide a performance boost over the M2 Pro and M2 Max MacBook Pro models introduced earlier this year.

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the business is unlikely to release upgraded versions of the Mac mini, Mac Studio, 13-inch MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air with its next-generation M3 CPU until next year. However, after Apple's recent decision to utilize a USB Type-C port on its iPhone series, we may anticipate the firm to reveal new USB Type-C versions of its Mac computer peripherals, such as the Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, and Magic Trackpad.
