With the release of Tecno's first folding smartphone, the Phantom V Fold, the smartphone company appears to be preparing to release a smaller foldable device, the Tecno Phantom V Flip. The phone was then dubbed the Tecno Phantom V Yoga, as previously reported. Photos of the clamshell foldable had surfaced, revealing the design and back camera layout of the future device, as well as its model number and storage option. A foldable with the same model number has purportedly appeared at the FCC, indicating some new information about this foldable.

A device with the same model number as the Phantom V Yoga, first noticed by GizmoChina, has appeared on the FCC's website. According to the source, the smartphone, now dubbed the Phantom V Flip, is listed with the model number AD11, which is the same as the Phantom V Yoga.

The phone's RAM and storage capacities are also hinted to in this FCC listing. The foldable being tested now is claimed to contain 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which is the same as the handset mentioned in the earlier story. This listing also suggests the phone's networking choices, which include compatibility for 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G networks, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

There is also information on the phone's battery capacity and charging speed. The Tecno Phantom V Flip, like most foldables, is believed to contain a battery divided into two halves. According to the report, one of the batteries has a capacity of 1,165 mAh while the other has a capacity of 2,735 mAh. The phone is supposed to enable 45W fast charging, which appears to be the same charger as the existing Tecno Phantom V Fold horizontal folding smartphone.

According to previous reports, the Tecno Phantom V Flip would have a MediaTek Dimensity 8050 SoC and a 6.75-inch AMOLED inner folding display with a maximum screen refresh rate of 144Hz. It will not feature an external cover display, unlike other clamshell foldables in this category, most likely to keep prices down. According to the insider, the phone will include a dual back camera configuration on the inside, with a primary 64-megapixel sensor and a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
