Disney Speedstorm, a combat racing game based on popular Disney and Pixar characters, will exit early access and become available to the public on September 28. It will be free to play on all platforms, including PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch. The title has been offered as a paid game since April, costing Rs. 2,497 for the Standard bundle and offering early access as well as a deluge of in-game credits, skins, and avatars. The game has received several updates throughout time, including additional racetracks and technological enhancements, all of which will be included in the final build, but it's unknown whether new Deluxe and/or Ultimate editions will be released at the time.

"Since the launch of Early Access, we've received invaluable feedback and support from our incredible community of players, who have been instrumental to the improvements made during Early Access," creator Gameloft writes in a message. "Moving to a free-to-play model will enable more players to participate in a fully robust competitive and co-op racing experience." We can't wait to embark on this exciting new chapter together." Gameloft also stated that the Premium Founder's Packs would be available for purchase until Disney Speedstorm's early access period ends, delivering special goods at a 'great bargain.' The value component says that they may go up in price later, but it also signals that fresh packs will be released in the future.

Disney Speedstorm is essentially a cart racer game in the same vein as Nintendo's Mario Kart, bringing together a cast of characters such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Mulan, Baloo the Bear, Captain Jack Sparrow, and others to race around numerous high-speed circuits inspired by Disney and Pixar's worlds. Each character possesses unique abilities, such as speed boosts and bombs, which can assist alter the tides of a race. Tracks include the docks of Pirates of the Caribbean's Kraken Port, the jungles of The Jungle Book's Jungle Ruins, and Monsters Inc.'s Scare Floor. The game also supports crossplay, allowing users on various platforms to interact with one another. Gameloft has also pledged to release new racers on a regular basis, in addition to seasonal content.
