According to a leaked photograph that has appeared online, the Nothing Phone 2 might be equipped with a twin back camera configuration like its predecessor. The second smartphone from the UK-based business managed by OnePlus Co-Founder Carl Pei will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and will come with a 4,700mAh battery. The business recently previewed the lower section of the Nothing Phone 2's back panel, which would include a tweaked version of the Glyph interface.

On Sunday, tipster Paras Guglani (Twitter: @passionategeekz) posted a photograph of the supposed Nothing Phone 2 with octopus emoji on Twitter — the Nothing Phone 1 featured a parrot, while the company's teasers for the future smartphone depict octopus tentacles encircling the handset. The photograph given by the tipster, however, only shows the top left corner of the handset's back end, surrounded by a portion of the company's distinctive Glyph interface.

The picture of the Nothing Phone 2 looks to confirm rumours that the device would include a twin back camera configuration. While the camera unit looks to be comparable to the Nothing Phone 1, there is no indication on the specifications for the Nothing Phone 2's front and back cameras. According to the leaked picture, the Glyph interface surrounding the camera module of the forthcoming smartphone has also been modified.

While Nothing has not published the camera specifications of the impending Nothing Phone 2, it has verified some previously rumoured information about the device. The phone will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and have a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) display.

The smartphone will have a 4,700mAh battery, which is larger than the 4,500mAh battery in the Nothing Phone 1 and can be charged through a USB Type-C connector. Like the company's other products, the charging cord for the Nothing Phone 2 will have a "transparent" design that reveals part of the device's internal components. According to the business, the phone would receive three years of OS upgrades and four years of security patches.
