The Xiaomi 14 Pro is supposedly in the works, and it is expected to be released with the Xiaomi 14 in November of this year. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has yet to release any specifics about the Xiaomi 14 series, however a well-known Chinese tipster has published certain camera specifications of the devices online. Periscope zoom cameras are believed to be included in the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro. The devices are believed to be powered by Qualcomm's next-generation flagship SoC. The Xiaomi 14 Pro is said to be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 50W wireless charging capability.

In his most recent Weibo post, Tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) indicated that the cameras on the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro will have periscope zoom capabilities. The Xiaomi 14 Pro's periscope telephoto camera is touted to have a 5x optical zoom and a 115mm focal length. The normal Xiaomi 14 is reported to include a periscope telephoto camera with 3.9x optical zoom and a focal length of 90mm. However, the pixel count and number of camera sensors are yet unclear.

According to previous rumours, the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro would be powered by Qualcomm's forthcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The Pro model might be powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 50W wireless charging. It is also claimed to carry WLG High-Lens cameras.

The Xiaomi 14 Pro and Xiaomi 14 are expected to replace the Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 13 that were released earlier this year. The Xiaomi 13 Pro has a triple rear camera unit with a Leica brand that includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 main sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor, and a 50-megapixel wide-angle sensor.

The Xiaomi 13's triple rear camera array consists of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 10-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor.
