Twitter's Head of Brand Safety and Ad Quality Will Resign: Details

According to a source familiar with the situation, Twitter's head of brand safety and ad quality, A.J. Brown, has opted to quit the business, making him the second safety leader to resign in a matter of days.

Even before she takes the helm, incoming Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino faces an increasing number of challenges.

Ella Irwin, the social media company's vice president of product for trust and safety, resigned on Thursday, according to Reuters. She handled content moderation efforts and frequently responded to users with inquiries regarding blocked accounts.

Brown focused on attempts to prevent advertisements from showing close to inappropriate content.

Brown's resignation had already been reported by Platformer and the Wall Street Journal.

Since Tesla CEO Elon Musk purchased Twitter in October, the platform has struggled to retain advertisers, who are sceptical of ad placement after the firm lay off hundreds of staff.

Musk's employment of Yaccarino, a former ad head at Comcast's NBCUniversal, indicated that ad sales remained a priority for Twitter even as the company worked to increase subscription income.

Reuters' attempts for comment were not immediately responded to by Twitter or Brown.
